  • Hi Dan, apologies for the message whilst you are away. I emailed your company last week not knowing you were away. By the time you get back is it likely you would be able to fit a survey in by the end of Aug with an install in Sept? North Herts. Having a kitchen fitted in October. Have other options, but none inspire me with confidence! It would be a heat only to heat only install.
Dan, you contributed to my post about the Honeywell DT92E.

Set the TPi(Cr) to 3 but what does that actually does.

If boiler limited to 3 cycles per hour what happens if stat is calling for heat?

How accurate/sensitive is the DT92E. Yesterday I had it set for 22.5 & actual room temperature was showing 22.0 and it seemed take over 5 minutes I think, before the stat switched the relay on

    Regards

    Chris.
    Hi Dan.

We're planning a full house refurb and loft extension right now resulting in pretty much a replacement of our old central heating system (including pipework as we're currently working off of a single pipe system). Closer to the time, I was wondering if you would come as far as Romford to do some work for us? I know it's a bit of a trek, but I thought I'd ask.

    Cheers,
    Dave.

    Hi there,

We do cover Romford, so no problem. My contact details are in my profile and on our website. Planning wise, we tend to have a 5 week wait for work, although I can usually fit surveys in sooner.

In out of the country at the moment, but should be back early early next week week if you want to communicate directly.

    Many thanks!

Thanks. Nearer to the time I might well be in touch.
    Hi Dan,
you may want to try Aqueous Logic's Sludge Remover (totally different from their system cleaner).
I have used it on very badly blocked systems and it's the best thing on the market where full on acid like FX2 ot DS40 can not be used e.g. due to low flow.
    Hi Dan,
I've noticed you mentioned in a post a while ago that you had once seen casting problems with the Tectite Classic fittings range. If you could, could you please tell me more about the defects you encountered, as I think I may be a victim of these fittings that had casting problems.
Any information you could give me would be deeply appreciated.
    Thanks, John

I have had the Yorkshire Peglar tectite classic fittings metallurgically examined and the results stated that the fittings developed pinhole water leaks due to dezincification due to faulty metal used in manufacturing. The water thermostats were all checked, as was the plumbing process and were proven to have not caused the leaks.

I can email you pictures if you are interested.
Any help you could give me would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

Dezincification can be caused by aggressive soft water. My problem was a casting error from new and not related to chemical breakdown - it was a solitary hole in an otherwise solid fitting.

If you are in a soft water area, or artificially soften your water then that could be the cause and is worth eliminating as a cause prior to going to Peglar with a case (if that is where you are heading).

    All the best,

    Dan.
Hi Dan. been reading few posts of yours and was wondering if you work in North West London (Harrow)? I've got an UFH circuit + rad zone + unvented cyclinder that needs looking into in terms of the installation

Hi Dan, I shall do that tomorrow. btw how can we control diff temp values from one system boiler for UFH + rads?
    Hi Dan DP here

Needed to calculate gas pipe run for friends house.
Sat down with Excel and have made a chart that needs raw data to give pressure drop across each point.
You possibly have a super duper programme already. If not, can send the bit I have made up for CCR.
Hi Dan is there any chance if i send you a memory stick and sae envelope you could download ccr on it please?
Just checked out the CCR. I'm impressed. You've clearly put a lot of time and effort into it. If there's ever anything I can do to help just let me know. Thanks again.
Dan, would you be qable to let me know how to access the CCR? Is this what was previusly called Dropbox?

    Thanks,

    mark
