I'd like some advice on what I should connect to my new boiler please
I'm getting a Vaillant EcoTec Plus 940 installed and I don't think my plumber would mind me saying that he's a great plumber and corgi engineer but he hates all that smart boll-ox.
I currently have a Nest connected to the...
I am looking at the compatibility of the nest thermostat to replace my current Honeywell T3 wired thermostat. The thermostat runs a combi boiler
It’s a 2 wire only system, however there does appear to be another brown wire in the wall box connected only 1 side to a connect block.
Hello all, I bought myself a new thermostat after doing a online compatibility test and proceeded to try the install. My previous unit had two cables coming from it, COM and N/O, this lead me to believe i had a two wire system. After looking around I found that with two wire systems Im meant to...
Hi there,

Hi All
I’ve seen a few posts around regarding Nest 3rd Gen Learning and wanted to install one in a rental of mine.
I’m struggling to get hold of any electricians at the moment so thought I’d give it a try.
I’ve watch numerous videos, and got somewhat of an understanding of the principles of...
Hello!
I'm looking for some assistance with installing a Nest Heat Link and Thermostat to my old Boulter Camray 5 combi boiler.

I'm confused as...
Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade the wireless thermostat system used on my Glow-Worm Ultracom 2 35 Store from a Climapro2 to a 3rd Generation Nest I've recently purchased. I had hoped I'd be able to hook into a couple of screw terminals on the 24V board (after getting 240V from the junction box...

Thanks

Hi all,

Hi all,
Apologies another nest thermostat query re installation. Reading the other pages has been helpful and think I'm nearly there.

Hi,

My boiler is currently powered by a switched fused spur. The spur is located 40cm underneath the boiler.
I haven't checked but it is probably a 3A fuse.

I've searched online and can't find anyone with the same issue, so thought I'd post here.
At the weekend I installed a Nest Thermostat E to my Baxi 228 using OpenTherm, replacing an on/off thermostat. Initially, I removed the old thermostat's wire from terminal X4 and did not reinstate...
Hello,
I've got a quote for a tradesman to do this but I'd like to see how much of a direct swap out it is, as I'm happy to do it if it's as simple as I expect.
So I have a Honeywell thermostat and programmer (it's a single wireless unit in the hall) with a control box just next to the boiler...
