reading security installers

Hi have an issue with an alarm, where it takes over a minute to sound once activated? I have spoken to honeywell who didn't know and they suggested a factory reset or replace the unit? Not sure if this is easy or Can anyone recommend a good installer to the reading area who could do this? Cheers...
