Hi all,
I need help in wiring a receptacle with 120 V for the patio from the main power box with 240V originally coming from the two Black conductors in the wall, and a barbed neutral copper(apparently, I dont see a green ground conductor coming from source. Is the barbed wire here served as a ground conductor for 240V wiring?)
I have wired the neutral and one of the black conductors on to the receptacle to get 120V, what concerned me was where to ground the receptacle to the main power box? Do I just wire the green ground conductor to the metal box where the original power cables come from? that way the receptacle now has 120V powered from one neutral, one hot conductor and one green conductor grounded to the metal box
Your help is appreciated.
thanks
