12v 2amp 18w twin cable

I thought I would ask here first as you guys are more likely to have done something similar

I need to extend the wire going into my fibre modem to a socket. The ONT is about a yard and a half from a 240v socket. The adapter is rated at 12v 2 amp and 18w. Is the usual twin cable, no outer sheath. I could use some spare speaker cable or Amazon who have a range of cables that may suit typically 0.3 awg

Maybe I’m just having a moment but I used to just pop down to Maplins but of course they no longer exist. Any suggestions appreciated

Usually more straightforward, to simply extend the 13amp mains connection to where it is needed, than the low voltage side..
