30 CDi EA error code

Boiler was working fine but I needed to top up the water as it was in the red. Filled to 1, then this morning came down to EA error code so I pressed reset…several times to no avail. Reverts back to error code. previously when this has happened and i top up to above 1, it drips water for a bit. Any ideas anyone? Could the gauge be faulty and I’m over filling??

You'll need a gas bod to look for an EA fault.

update: switched the boiler back on today..gauge had jumped right round the 3 from barely 1! But the boiler fired up 1st time and is now fine.
