hi.im about to tackle my first big rendering job once the weather improves ive been a self employed plasterer for 18months and feel that this is an area would like to brake into. ive already done the odd garden wall but im unsure about how to add the correct amount of waterproof solution to the mix

Hi Big T,

I've only been going alone for a short time and am way off rendering (tried it one helping a mate out and jeez, was it hard work). I'm relatively iexperienced and still have a whole load to learn.

Would the correct amount to add not be stated on whichever waterproofer you're using?

Regards

Fred

probebley its just that ive not had to buy any yet and im trying to sort this guy a price out .

try googling FEB admixes  they make loads of magic potions

Fill your bucket up to the 10 litre mark with water then check the ratio on the tub.

If for example it's 30:1 then a coke can is 330 ml - cut top off with your snips and fill (just under full) with waterproofer add to water and mix thoroughly.

Or you could buy a plastic measuring jug :!:

Good luck!

PS. Whole house - price for 2 i'd say.

cheers dougal. not priced for two but have priced 6 days, front back and gabel end.2 days each
