About time we paid them more

OT but related, I recall when in the midst of covid Boris saying to the effect 'we must pay them more and ensure it's looked on as a viable career option' referring to caregivers.

How's that going ...

Quite right.

However, that right does not extend to risking other people's lives by their actions, or in their case, inaction.

So if striking effects peoples lives they are not allowed to strike. Then what about service cuts that effect peoples lives.

the reality is that the NHS is risking people lives every day because the wages are low and the pressure too high leading to retention problems

do you remember when Tory MPs were saying:

"if you want to earn more go and find a better paid job"
(but they didnt mean nurses, doctors, ambulance men etc because they want to keep them on a low wage)

So the left say they should be paid more, which I agree with but where do the funds come from?

The main parties have both said no tax and NI increases

The junior doctor training and funding model has been in place for decades and worked well. If we do review it and it is ripe for it are the junior doctors going to equally forgo a % of their 6 figure NHS salaries and their earning from Private practice to fund the next generation. I think i know the answer.

You have to remember Tony Blair introduced a huge amount of private sector health into the NHS
