Hi folks,
I'm sure this is a nice easy one for the engineers and those who know this panel well.
Zone 7 on my system used to be a shock sensor on a single glazed pantry window. We've since had a wrap round extension built a couple of years ago, the window plastered over and the sensor removed. This was never linked out on the panel. Today I've fitted a door contact to the pantry door in lieu of the old shock sensor, a little OTT perhaps but there's a safe in the pantry, an auto dialler with no tamper and also and you can access the door on the timed entr route. I've connected this to zone 7 and wired in the tamper et al. Seemingly all is well because I've tested this on chime and it triggers. However, zone 7 does not trigger when the alarm is set. I can open and close the door without consequence. I am no alarm engineer but no zones are omitted as far as I can see. Do I look at systems flags?
I'm sure this is very easy to put right if somebody can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
