Access Software

I am trying to access info on a CD which appears to be using software called Access?? I am getting incompressible script in Word though.

Any advice on best way to download/convert?

access is a microsoft program.

generally info can be seen in xls or wordpad etc. but generally wont make any sense.

are they mdb files? thats generally the access file type.
