Acer E1-510 and Windows 7

Hello All,
Can anyone tell me if i can install windows 7 64 bit on this laptop?

If so, can I use the drivers intended for win 8?

Provided that you are using the same version (32 or 64 bit) of Win 7 as Win8 was supplied, the drivers should work. Make a note of the make/model of the various components before wiping the machine (right-click on Computer - Manage - Device Manager. Note you will need a legitimate WIN7 licence key).

However, if it is just a case of "I hate that horrible WIN8 interface!" you can install third-party addons to make it look and feel like Win7. Don't forget to upgrade to 8.1 before installing your addons.

Have you tried the win7 compatibility tool?

It tests your PC and advises if you can run win7.

Find and run that, don't just ask the bloke at the other end of the keyboard.
