Adding Locks to Kitchen Cabinets

Hi,
I am looking for a way to lock kitchen cabinets.
I will be installing Howdens cabinets in a room to be used a ms a communal workshop, but want to be able to lock the cupboards. Whats the Best way to achieve this?

Probably a cam lock on the door, and either a groove or a little metal bracket on the carcase for the lock tongue to engage into.

That's very similar to the locks I've installed on kitchens in council offices in the past. TBH they aren't the most secure, but then the doors are only 18mm MDF of flimsy hinges, and they do stop prying and discourage low level opportunist theft. The main use is in office furniture and retail cabinets, so that gives you an idea of how secure they are

Yes ,a lot of movement on kitchen hinges , makes securing difficult.

We've specified one lockable unit on past kitchen renewal contracts, so check if your suppler can supply suitable door fronts. The lock was a cam lock and not intended for high security but just to keep things away from kids or vulnerable occupants.
