Ok I am a beginner so may not get the terminology right so apologies in advance(part of the battle with DIY is know what questions to ask(the other part is know who to ask)) but from reading other posts I think I am in the right place. So hope you can help me
as the Title suggest I have and existing Ideal Vogue C32 combo boiler which I am controlling with Hive. I deliberately got an oversized boiler for the house because I knew that I would be extending the property. In one of the extensions I intend to install Under floor Heating.
I also have an existing Hive thermostat and receiver.
I can see that the boiler can accommodate an additional zone(will add a picture).
From my attempts at research I am pretty sure I need to add another thermostat and receiver(I am probably going to need help with the wiring later) but on the plumbing side I am uncertain how to extend the pipe work.
My thinking is that I need to add a loop for the UFH with an actuator valve?
Or do I need to add two actuator valves one for the CH and one for UFH?
If I need to add two actuator valves then I suspect that I will need to add a bypass in case both actuators are closed?
I am guessing I need two actuators if I want to control the CH and UFH independently
As I said I will need help with the wiring but will cover this topic later when I know which of the options I should go with from above.
I have attached pictures from the installation guide
Please let me know if you need more information
Thank you so much in advance for your help
