The base is done and dusted last year.
I was going to order the shed late last year but aired against it due to the possibility of sealing moisture into the wood when painting/treating the wood and not drying out properly.

At 10 x 8, It's main use will be a garden shed but im also planning to put a workbench in there and use as a mini workshop. I say custom but to be fair due to wanting the door on the side rather on a gable end, I'm looking at raising the lot so I don't have to keep ducking to get and out with the eaves being lower and me being 6ft 2. I don't like the look of "hipex" sheds although they are essentially the same.

I'm torn on the door position. I'm think in the middle, one side purely garden equipment and one side workshop etc. Not sure its the best use of space but if I had the door on say the left, I potentially might have to fight my way through the garden equipment to get to the bench, no body wants that...

Looking at insulating it and putting some sheets of ply on the floor to distribute the weight.

I've attached a photo (although not the best)
Any help or advice would be great from someone thats probably been in my boots and have learned. This shed I'm hoping will last a lot time hence the prep!

Thanks

Make me wonder if a regular shed does not meet you needs why not build you own to suit.

just make sure you keep it below 2.5m off the actual ground level to avoid the need for planning
