Hi all

I’m planning on fitting done 50mm mopstick wooden handrail and the linked brackets on my staircase.

My stair is approx 2.6m then has a small landing where it levels off before turning 90 degrees then again a smaller 2m stair.

I’m planning on doing the first section in one piece if possible so it goes up the stairs then joins direct onto the small horizontally piece that will go directly into the wall.

The second piece for the final small section will simply be one 2m length.

1. How do I find the angle for the first section?
Can I just purchase a cheap angle finder off eBay and it’s its dir example cone to 130 degrees then I need the joining pieces to be 65 (or 50 if cutting the other side).
I plan to also glue/nail the join.

2. How many brackets do I need?
I’m thinking the more the better.

3. The height of fusiliers needs ti be 900-1000mm ti the top of the rail?

4. What silver/chrome screws can I use? It’s will be going direct into block.
Screwfix sell a chrome type 4 x 40mm screw will these be long enough?

Pics of brackets/rail below.

Cheers.
