Hello, I'm doing up my loft as in the drawing below. I will be using superquilt on the underside of the rafters down to the wall plate. I will board up a section in the middle with a raised floor. I already have a lot of mineral wool insulation up there which and rather than take it all out want to leave it in situ to aid with soundproofing. Do I need to worry about air flow in the area A by the eaves, or in area B under the floor? Thanks

I’d say you want airflow in A so that air can go up between the rafters.

Thanks for having a look Ian H. My drawing is not clear. I'm putting multiquilt between and under the rafters down to the wall plate and there will be an air gap of about 30mm under the membrane vented by eave vents and probably lap vents. So areas A and B will be inside the insulated envelope. Cheers.
