Alarm Code Finding??

Hi all,

very much a novice here in need of some help. I have an alarm system fitted in my home. Problem is that the previous owners did not leave an alarm code or an instruction manual so i cannot operate it.

Is there a service available where i can get an engineer to come out and find the code in some way? will this be expensive?

You can get an engineer to come and reset your system to factory condition and give it a service and a clean bill of health. Thats their job, after all. They may even offer you a repair contract.

What type of alarm is it?

It is usualy possible to reset an alarm, the thing is it is often all or nothing so after the reset the alarm must be completely reprogrammed which may be a pain (especially if the wiring is not well labeled).
