Hello,

I have recently moved into a property with the thermostatic controls shown attached.

I am currently able to switch the heating on continuous which is fine for now. However unsure of how the clock works and if it does work?

Also the boiler seems to
heat up the two radiators downstairs fine. However one of the radiators in the back room upstairs seems to be continually on. The other in the front bedroom doesn’t seem to have anyway of bleeding the radiator.

So I believe I have two slight issues here.

One, does anyone one know how I might be able to get the heating on timed? That’s if it’s still functional.

Two, why is it the radiator in the back room remaining hot when the heating is off and the rest of the radiators are cold?

I appreciate anybody’s help with this.

Forget the timeclock...doubt it goes round and it's missing the selector levers..I haven't seen something that old in 25 years.
Post a few pics of the boiler/airing cupboard/pump etc.
Assume you've bought the place and going by the clock it needs a new system.

Hi,

It seems as if you should have a few plastic clips (red/on and grey/off), that clip onto the timer wheel.

.....although, to be honest, it's probably time for a new timer/controller! :)

Thank you for your replies guys.

Gasguru yes I have recently bought the property. I’m planning to change the system to a combi around spring/ summer time. The system is actually really hot and works well considering it’s age. Pressure is low when showering as the systems gravity fed.

However there’s just the thing with two of the radiators staying hot upstairs. One Ive turned the valve down and going to see if it goes off. The other in the bathroom doesn’t seem to have a valve to control. (See attached pics)

Really I appreciate your help guys and quick response.

Is there no thermostat in the property? You could always upgrade to a programmable thermostat? Perhaps a wireless type.
