I cannot get system restore on start menu, I click on system restore tab and a blank white page comes up, also on boot up I can not get F10 to bring up system restore either.
PC running slow and some commands/programs are not functioning.
Any advice please for XP Pro.

This is one method:

START=>All Programs=>Accessories=>System Tools

Right-click on System Restore

Click copy

Move cursor to the desktop

Right-click and paste to desktop

Right-click the newly created icon

Click Pin-to-menu

Hope it works.

Has system restore been turned off?

To turn it on:

Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
Click to clear the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box.
Click OK.

After a few moments, the System Properties dialog box closes.

On system properties the system restore box is unchecked, if I check the box warning notice of loss of restore points comes up.

That did the trick, only thing is if I pick a restore point, once rebooted it returns to blank white window again on system restore.

That sounds like it has been disabled? an you check to see if it is enabled after getting the restore done?

I just wondered if, once you got the restore done, did it disable the system restore option at the end? That would explain the no other restore point? I'm stumped here!
