any 22mm garden tap?

Our water mains are in 22mm and if I wanted I could easily take a 22mm pipe through the wall to connect it to our garden tap (yet to be installed).

I have done some due diligence and cannot find any garden tap which accepts a 22mm pipe, with a 22mm backplate and a 22mm non-return valve.

Am I making things overly complicated by going with the 22mm?
My preference for the 22mm is simply enough so to make sure the flow is enough for when is needed be (e.g. fill a paddling pool?), i.e. do the job once and do it to a good standard.

It would be great if someone could point me in the direction of a kit which is suited to 22mm, maybe I have been searching for the wrong thing?
Else it would also be great to have a confirmation that they dont't exist so I will happily settle for 15mm.

hmm, I searched google for "22mm outside tap" and get several hits for taps that h
ave a 22mm elbow so you pipe to it in 22mm.

However the tap does reduce it to hosepipe dimensions.

I've had one, but taps are not specified in mm. but in inches.

An ordinary garden tap is a half-inch.

I think you want a three-quarter inch.

Like a bath tap size.

Mine seemed very big (on an iron pipe) and might even have been one-inch.

They are used on farms, stables etc.

I suppose I should have been clearer in my requirements, we are looking for something that has a neat look, i.e. something along those lines

rather than a 22mm pipe coming out of the wall, 90 degrees elbow up into a 22mm compression wall plate elbow, onto which a 22mm (or 3/4 inch as some of you suggested??!!) tap is screwed onto.

Also to clarify, on the tap end we want to connect a standard domestic size garden hose (1/2 inch then?)

For clarity's sake, should I be looking then for a 3/4" to 1/2" tap?

Then you want a garden bib tap, and a tube and wall plate to fit. Two items that screw together.

you can use a cheaper 1/2" tap if you want

yes that is what we want, but I cannot seem to find it, so I am starting to think it probably doesn't exist or it is not worth the hassle of finding it! :D
 
Can you not just use a wallplate elbow and keep the connections tight together as in the picture below?

thanks for confirming John, appreciated. Would have been gutted to do all the work in 15mm to then discover in some dark corner of the web that 22mm tap bib kits do exist!

that's actually very neat (in my eyes), will check with the missus as she is the deal breaker for these things, thanks for the picture, will be useful!
 
It seems to me that what you want is a 3/4 bibcock and a 3/4 wall plate elbow. But most, if not all, garden hose fittings are 1/2". So, why not just do it in 1/2"?
