Any idea what this is?

My wife found this, (see pics), in the drivers footwell of her car when we were out earlier today.
She had cleaned the car out at the weekend, so it definitely wasn't there then.
Wondering if it is a fuse of some sort. It has a red spot on the end. Can't see where it would fit and there are no warnings or codes showing on the dash.
Car is a 2014 Citreon Grand Picasso C4, automatic, (diesel).

It looks like a clip for a panel under the steering wheel.

Agreed, it’s a console spring clip.

Agree as well. You can see in the last picture, where the plastic lugs that held it to the panel it came from, have snapped off. A really common failure on modern cars.
