Hello,
I have 3 windows and 1 patio door that I believe date from pre-2011 (see photo 1). All of the gaskets are black and quite worn and I'd like to replace them with new white gaskets.
The internal gaskets on the windows are all wedge gaskets that can be removed fairly easily. I thought the external window gaskets might be E-gaskets but having removed 1 piece of external beading I now don't think they are (see photos 2-4).
Can anyone identify the style of gasket and advise whether or not it can be removed from the beading? I suspect this gasket might be co-extruded as it feels like it's glued to the beading. I'm keen to know whether this beading might be compatible with another type of gasket that can be replaced.
Thanks,
Sian
