Are you a Mcdonalds fan

I love a double sausage and egg mcmuffin.
I love a banana milkshake.
When out and about, handy for a cuppa.

Everything else though, not to my liking.
I used to enjoy the chicken legend but I think it was discontinued.

Believe it or not, I was as skinny as a rake in those days. 30 years younger and a smoker. When I stopped smoking 20 years ago, the weight started piling on.

I believe it; that's why it was weight gain, not just a fat f##k to start with :D

My weight - at 5' 10" - has fluctuated between 13st and 14st since my late teens.

I did get down to under 12st on a couple of occasions, but the last one of those went for a Burton when I broke my ankle while out running

Haven't ran since, but lift weights, do 1hr sessions on the cycle smart trainer, and can swim miles - literally - in openwater.

So, I'll probably drop dead soon, with a load of mates saying "but he was so fit and active!" :ROFLMAO:

I’ll put you in my obituaries thread. (y)

I'm partial to one now and again. However, I used to arrange maintenance is some of them and they weren't so appealing behind the scenes.

How many times have you fallen ill, after eating there ?

This is what I say, when one of our party says (about a place we're talking about going to) “they've got a one star food hygiene rating! "

McDonald's fans were left devastated after the long-awaited breakfast wrap was pulled from the menu just days after it returned.

I have the shirts the scarfs and pictures on my wall .

I even have a Pickled Big Mac in a jar.

I feel let down and may give up my season ticket.

Now I know how the Genocide fans must feel.
My tongue in cheek point has been missed. Like Moat of my unique humour.

Yeah, me too!

Doc said stopping smoking would be excellent for my health, but now I'm a fat b'stard and that ain't healthy....

Very rarely get ill from food.

We used to go to a Chinese buffet, until the local press pointed out that it had a zero or one star (can't remember which) rating!

A 1 star rating means major food hygiene issues, not to mention 500 people a year die from food poisoning in the UK

None of which have been in the curry house that I had in mind (very local to me) :D

That's also presuming that all rating systems are equal.

That's also presuming that those 500 people contracted their food poisoning in such establishments when, I'd bet a good chunk of those were "in the home" or, even more likely, in settings with vulnerable persons i.e. care and nursing homes.

I'd take a decent curry over a Michelin star restaurant any day, but not if they have a 1 star for food hygiene.

Macdonalds goes cold so fast you have to decide whether to eat your chips or burger first, because whatever you second will be almost cold….by the time it’s delivered it would be stone cold and fit for the bin.

I quite liked the sausage and egg McMuffin. I used to occasionally buy one on to the way to a customer's house in Hammersmith.

It was always hot (unlike their regular burgers).

In early Jan, I purchased one in Ealing Broadway, it was lukewarm by the time they handed it to me.

As others have suggested, I think it is because of the volume of deliveroo orders.

I am pretty sure that previously, the eggs were cooked on demand. Now they are precooked and stored in a tray under a heat lamp.

Another consequence of the internet orders is that in-person waiting times have increased significantly.

It's not just McD's though. I recently popped in to a Fish and Chip shop, there were no customers in store so I popped in. It took almost 10 mins for the staff to ask what I wanted because they were busy cooking internet orders.

I am now more inclined to go home and cook chite rather than waiting/paying for someone else to cook it for me.
