Hi,
I have a decking company putting some decking up outside the house. They are attaching one side to the house (brick house). They are using a ledger and have used wood spacers (25mm thick), basically some treated wood off cuts.
From what I have seen, metal or plastic spacers are suggested presumably because they can't rot although I have seen some suggest ply (presumably water proof).
Any view on if this is ok or I should ask them to use non wood spacers?
The ledger can clearly breath but the spacers will rot over time.
