Austerity asset-stripping

One that helps spot your hypocrisy

No hypocrisy from me, Marra.

When your questions are crafted to give the answer you want, rather than an objective and truthful one, don't expect me to respond to them (y)

How does a SME director "on minimum wage" afford a five-bed house, two Range Rovers, private schooling and a nanny for the kids, and five foreign holidays a year?

so exactly how much does the prime minister of the UK get paid in comparison to a council chief exec on 155k a year

Can't say exactly, as PM gets:

- accommodation on the £6M 10 Downing Street (c. £12k per month equiv. rental cost, according to Ideal Home)
- all utilities and subsistence, included
- travel and all other accommodation, included
- all expenses, included
- up to c. £120k p.a. expense allowance, for life, included
- pension - value, I know not - included

And likely more; the above is just a quick list.

Add to that, the ability to leverage being a former PM on the consultancy and public-speaker circuit, in perpetuity. Measured in tens of thousands of pounds, per hour.

Like I said, a f#ck-sight more than the published salary alone.

irrelevant and weak strawman

the relevant comparison is what is the going rate for a chief exec in private sector.

you cant expect councils to get staff if they cant offer a commensurate salary

Your mate Rees-Mugg is on a good thing at GB-foghorn.
The former business secretary was paid nearly £325,000 in the last year. He currently receives slightly more than £29,000 a month as a presenter for 40 hours of work, or £729 an hour.
The bug;er can pay my water rates with an hour of unalloyed piffle.
