Automate door entry system to flat

My flat has an Urmet door entry system and I want to perform some automation depending on how the caller outside presses my buzzer .

Essentially if I forget my keys outside of service hours I could hold my buzzer for 30 seconds and it will just let me in. Ideally more complex rules could be used to make it more secure, for example buzz between 5 and 7 seconds then buzz between 2 and 5 seconds then buzz again between 20 and 23 seconds.

There is space behind my Urmet 1130 telephone handset for any further hardware that could monitor the signals coming and provide its own dooring opening response if the correct pattern in matched.

It looks like I will need to find the wires that relate to the door buzzer and door lock then convert those electric signals into something that can be read by a computer program so it can perform some logic to determine whether to provide its own response while at the same time relaying all original signals to the handset.

Can anyone advise how this could be achieved? I am comfortable working with the software side of things but I am not sure how to get there in the first place.

You should therefore get permission from the free holder / landlord / premises management about this modification to the door security system.

It might be easier to keep a spare set of keys in a keysafe such as click here that is fitted in a discrete location.

What I meant was there is a service button that allows anyone access to the building between 6am and 10pm. This allows deliveries to take place when people aren't home.

I am the landlord and I am adding a modification that only affects my apartment but it does affect how access is granted to a communal area so I can inform my factors to see if they have any objections.

The problem with fitting a keysafe is getting everyone to agree to get one fitted and finding somewhere discrete.

By keeping any solutions tied directly to my apartment helps to keep things simpler by reducing the amount of people involved.

If the key safe involves only keys to your apartment then why would any of the other people be involved wth the lamdlord fitting a keysafe to his property. Unless thay wanted to have a spare set of their keys in a separate keysafe
 
The door entry system opens the door to the flat building. Therefore the key safe will need to be located outside of the flat building and contain the keys to the building. This could then be a key safe everyone in my flat building could have access to. Since I own my apartment but not the entire flat building everyone in the flat building would need to agree that they are happy for a key safe to be fixed to the building and in the location suggested.

It feels easier to wire a Raspberry Pi to my door entry telephone within my apartment that I own and make it release the lock to the flat building door when it matches a sequence of buzzes. This will obviously only work when my flat number is buzzed.

Then for my apartment door I have a code entry system so there is no need for a key.
