Hi All,
We are going through a cellar to basement project and just want to ask a few details about the drainage layout and what offers both building regulation coverage, but also what is the most practical solution.
We aren't 100% tied to the layout so if a more suitable layout would be recommended please suggest.
The red drainage is the perimeter drainage and the black "S" labelled pipe is the 4 inch waste. The soil sump will have 2 runs from the sum to the soil vent pipe (SVP). SVP is denoted as the red circle to the left and the existing manhole and drains are denoted in grey. Sewage sump on left of image and dewatering sump on the right.
Questions we have are;
- Does the 4 inch pipe go through the basement drainage membrane and concrete slab or can it sit within the insulation above the slab?
- Can you make horizontal runs for the vent pipe into the SVP?
Any support would go a long way.
