Bathroom extractor fan broken

Hi All,

Just moved into my first house and the extractor fan in the bathroom looks like its seen better days. I'm afraid to turn it in because of that loose wire. Does this look like something that can be easily fixed or do I need to call out an electrician? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Can't really see it well enough.

Brush away the cobwebs and take a picture from directly below.
 
Have you got a pic of the wiring in the loft going into the switch?

Presumably the fan won't work as things are until the black wire is connected to the spare terminal.

Switch off the Main Switch and connect the wire.
