A cluster of 3 led lights, it's good because the bathroom gets very little natural light. But it's zonally conflicted in plan, being sited just outside the outer edge of the bath/shower

It could do with going between the the next pair of joists but this would require extending the cables. Assume this would require providing later access to the new joining the existing?

Or are there alternative lights available that are safer?

Thank you

What is the ceiling height, above the floor of the room?

please show us a pic or link of the lamp you have in mind.

OK, the ceiling is less than 2250mm above the floor so it would be extra work to put a compliant lamp above the bath or shower.

if the ceiling currently has a ceiling rose, with a pendant or battenholder, you could take a flex off that into your light fitting. It would however be visible.

Do you have access to the lighting cables above the ceiling, for example in a loft or by lifting floorboards?

it sounds like you have in mind spotlights. Is that right? Not an enclosed light fitting that would have protection against water splashes?
