Hello,

moved to a new house last year and the floor tiles in the bathroom are loose, is there anything that can be done to fix them? At some point we'll redo the bathroom so it can be a temp fix.

Some additional info in case it's relevant: the bathroom has electric underfloor heating, there are no obvious water leaks that may have cause the problem, I suspect poor installation.

Thank you!

Thanks, was wondering if there is an easy way to glue them.. vinyl on top sounds drastic but may do that if no other options.

If it's an installation problem then it's likely to continue (ie other tiles/grout coming lose) and in a bathroom you're into water perhaps getting into the boards and beyond. At least vinyl is a waterproof and effective solution.

To overcome problems of timber material (plywood, OSB, chipboard, etc) sub floor movement I've seen a number of tilers install a decoupling layer between the sub floor and the tiles. It seems to have come into use in the last 3 or 4 years for tiled areas such as back of bar floors, public toilets, changing areas, etc (sorry, but that's the area I mainly worked in for years). The one I recall seeing a few times is Schluter Ditra uncoupling membrane, but there are others
