Batten fencing / screening - nail gun or screw?

Hello,

I need to create a batten fence / screen. Posts are 100mm x 100mm and the battens are 25mm thick.

Would you recommend for fixing? Would you go nail gun or screws?

Use a hammer and nails that will be knocked in on at a slight angle. Won't pull out.
You can screw if you want but nails don't show so much as screws.
I start hole with 2 or 3mm drill. Stops nail splitting wood and will start it at an angle
