Do you not charge Batteries in India ?...what kind of battery is it and whats it for? Car? Gen set starting? Kids toys? Please tell us more.

If its for a car battery, you need to buy a ....wait for it......battery charger

then plug it in and connect the leads up and switch it on. + to + and - to -. You can buy Battery chargers here at most newsagents these days

but just in case------------------
you can only charge batteries designed for recharging you can not recharge normal cheap batterys

not true, there is (or at least was) at least one charger that could do it. it was known as the battery manager ultra and made by a firm called "innovations"

i have two and they did work reasonablly well (both now have problems with contact corrosion from the number of batteries that have leaked over them) although sometimes it rejects batteries that it will charge eventually if you keep putting them in. Good quality alkalines seem to get the best results.
