Hi there,
I have recently moved into a new home which has a baxi bermuda installed, my aim is ultimately to replace the system but ideally not until next year. I have just had a new three way valve installed on the system as there was no hot water when we moved in, however, ever since doing so it seems the boiler is running at full heat, the water in the tank is rediculouly hot to the touch. I have tried to turn the thermostat on the boiler itself down and its currently set on 0 but is still heating the water despite nothing on the system calling for water. Any ideas for something I should before I get someone out.
Thanks in advance.

Something is obviously delivering power to the gas valve. What sort of system controller or time clock do you have? What happens if you set that controller to OFF?

The boiler's own stat, needs to be set at a slightly higher temperature than the stat on the HW cylinder, otherwise the boiler will be chasing its tail continuously - trying to do the impossible and heat the cylinder to a higher temperature than the boiler is set for. Try turning the stat on the cylinder down and report back..

Another possibility, is that when the 3-port was replaced, it was mis-wired, so there is a constant demand sent to the boiler. Turning both the room stat and the HW stat's down, should mean the boiler should not come on.
