Being a Jew illegal.. sometimes

The police were concerned his presence might be antagonising and things might kick off.
The police werent threatening to arrest him because he was Jewish, but because they were concerned it might start troubles

Jewish people who are worried about their safety....probably should be, as it seems the police agree

That's fair, they do the same with the Orange Order in NI and the other religious idiots when it's marching season over there.

He was accused of conspiring to breach the peace. There were no grounds for this. The police have no lawful ability to detain you due to the risk of your safety as a result of other people's possible unlawful conduct. plod should have warned him and presented it differently.

The chief executive of the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) was wearing a kippah skull cap when he was stopped from crossing a road near the demonstration in the Aldwych area of London last Saturday.

Are you in favour of banning religious head gear?

don't forget the Burqa

So now London is to segregated based on religion. You'd be happy with that?

These marches are not once a year they are every bl**y week
When there's a protest on, there are always measures taken if there's a violent group planning to interfere.

Since there were Jews on the other side of the line, protesting against Israeli actions it's not about religion.

How often should they be allowed to match? Do they get a set number per quarter or is it once per 5,000 dead Palestinians?

You think that the police didn't know who he is? There is also the point that some lengths have been gone to in order to keep the 2 factions separate particular demo's.

They did warn him and explained why and actually to avoid public disorder they are entitled to do that.
The way they warned him was sloppy and that is the point. They played in to the argument that they were planning to unlawfully detain him.

Rightly so

But it’s clearly a sorry not sorry.

Why can one group protest about something that isn’t even occurring in this country and another be prevented from protesting about something that is hugely disruptive and occurring every week right here.
