I went to use my Beko upright freezer ( model TFF577APW) a few days ago and was horrified to find it had defrosted and all the food had to be thrown away.
After emptying out the spoiled food I tried switching it on again and I could hear it run for 5 seconds and stop. I then opened the door and left it for 24 hours and it appeared to be working . I left it for another 24 hours and found that it had only partially frozen the few trays of water I had put in for a test and once again it would only run for 5 seconds. The small plastic resevoir at the back is full of water.
It seems so close to working but obviously I don't want to lose another freezer full of food.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
