Hi. I have installed a few intruder alarms over the years and I have just been asked to install one for someone at a new-build bungalow, which is ground-floor only.
I now have a decision to make. I can either install the bell box at ceiling height, under the eaves, at the front of the property or I can install it at the side of the property higher up on the gable. Normally I would mount the bell box up as high as possible, to deter tampering. However in this situation, if the bell box was on the side of the house, up on the gable, it would be difficult for neighbours to see where the alarm was coming from, if it were to go off. This is because the house is on the end of a close.
Any advice on where I should mount the alarm?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated,
Matt W
