Hi folks. Due to external rust in the radiator units (and putting in a log fire), I no longer need the central heating part of my system, and have proceeded to remove some of the radiators around the house.
For some reason now, the hot water won't work (worked fine when the heating was pressurised). I've switched the dial to DHW only (as per the manual), but no dice.
I would have just reconnected the radiators, however I I nicked (read: cut through) one of the CH pipes - so no going back now.

Also, to complicate matters, I live in New Zealand where these boilers are not well known - the agent has since gone under over here I believe.

Is there any reason why the DHW wouldn't work when the CH is disconnected? If so, is there any way to get the hot water back on without central heating? Appreciate any help!

To clarify, the boiler doesn't light when the hot water tap is running - however it did a few hours earlier (and all I've done is depressurise and remove the central heating radiators)

you would be best to connect up one radiator on the CH system pipework so the boiler can dump excess heat when required or loop the flow and return pipework the longer the pipe run the better so it can dump the heat there the boiler will not fire unless pressurised

You need to repressurise the boiler so the gauge reads about 1.5 bar.

I think there will be an engineer somewhere who works on Biasi there. What town are you in?

Thanks all - Savona were the original installers, however we'd contacted them a while ago (for servicing) and were told they were no longer operating. Interesting to see the website alive and well.
I'll see if I can get the CH loop back up, otherwise I'll get in touch with them. Thanks again!

Thanks to the lovely wife, 4 end caps later (~ $20 NZD), problem solved and kids showering again :) Good result all round!
