I propose something different, if it turns out to be as bad as you imagine, then change it. So what.
 
No. But if the Tories are giving money out then why stop at Rwanda?
Nobody has actually been sent there yet more migrants keep coming and Rish! dare not even set a target for the mad idea to 'Stop the Boats', as though a slogan or a hastily drafted bill will make any difference.

Sounds like a great idea. Perhaps we should do some modelling/analysis before we spend millions and create lasting long term problems for ourselves.

How many do you think will come? What resources would be needed and how does it compare to alternative strategies?

I think they always knew it would be hard against the current legal backdrop.

@denso13 if you want people to take your input seriously, you might want to go a little deeper than “they need to fix the problem”. Or “more safe, legal routes will fix the problem”.

We don't elect a government then solve all their problems for them.
We elect a government because we hope they have the brains and the expertise at their disposal to fix the big problems that we can't as individuals.
When governments try several diferent policies, some illegal, some bound to fail, some fail anyway, we arrive at the conclusion that they're useless and have to go.

Moreover, when they demonstrate their willingness to be so corrupt in their practices, they should be slung out with their tails between their legs.
