Bibby Bargain Barge?

That’s why we have a vote Jim.

But to argue they are useless without understanding or recognising that the problem is hugely complex is dishonest

Who has suggested the problem is not hugely complex?
To accuse someone of making that suggetsion, when no-one has, is dishonest.

We elect governments to resolve hugely complex problems, not to make them worse, illegal or inhumane.

What does this actually mean?
The Rwanda plan is an agreement to act as a safe 3rd country to allow the U.K. to pass off claimants in exchange for money.

But finding a country that is willing to trade problems for cash is difficult. They are making progress but it will be slow.

The Australian model worked better as does the Greek model. Remote process the claimants in a locations they do not wish to be in as a deterrent to paying traffickers.

What is the point of getting a boat to the U.K. for 3k if you are going to be flown thousands of miles away, while your application is heard knowing that if rejected you aren’t where you want to be anyway.

So, let them apply, and process them, somewhere else rather than here?
I think motorbiking is suggesting UK makes safe routes available.
They can apply to UK, for asylum from France, Greece, Spain, Italy etc?

The UK would be obliged to pay for their accomodation in those countries, their legal fees, etc.

I think that would be an acceptable solution to most people.

Remote processing - yes
Remote applications - no

The whole point is to deter people becoming illegal immigrants, by using traffickers.

The result will be an increase in market share for the traffickers.
People will try again, and again.
Markets will spring up where there were none before.
Death rates will increase.
More refugees on the move.

It creates more problems than it's trying to solve.

What would you do ?

spend 3k euro getting from wherever to the U.K. in horrible conditions. Cold, sea sick, wet. Only to arrive and spend a few nights in the U.K. before being shipped off to somewhere several thousand miles away having been told that your claim to enter the U.K. is inadmissible

Are you really going to give it another go by travelling back from somewhere to wherever to spend another 3k. Or are you maybe going to think about if you are fine just where you were.

There may be more attempts to sneak in but these boats have motors and generate heat as well as returning radar.

Even the radar on my boat will pick up a small rib. The authorities use more powerful tech, capable of detecting anything bigger than 1m2 at a range of 9-10 miles.
