Hi, with summer coming and the kids getting older, I was thinking about replacing my traditional double glazed windows (large pane with casement opening on either side) to bifold doors for access to garden (there is a separate door to access garden so this would not be only/main exit). I had a few questions that are really bugging me:
1. Do bifold installers do the work to open up the wall (i.e. the space under the current window if not beside it) or am I expected to do that myself? I am not sure if I should be looking for bifold installers or a general builder
2. The opening of the current window setup is 230 cm - is this too narrow for 3 doors?
3. The current window is on an old extension - just flatish roof above, no floors etc. Would I still need a new lintel?
4. The floor to top of window is currently just over 2 metres - is this too short?
I hope these questions aren't too stupid!
Many thanks
