Hi, I wonder if anyone could tell me what the bit missing from my window is called and if I could buy a replacement bit to repair it?

Thank you (sorry for the cobwebs etc - it's in a downstairs toilet which is being used as a store room currently)

It's called glazing beading and if you take a photo to a window firm or even spot a window fitter in your area and ask them for advice they should be able to help you identify it.

As above it's a glazing bead but unfortunately they are profile specific which means you need to identify what make of extrusion (the profile) your window is and from there you can search, if you can unclip one of the short side ones and take a picture of the end cross section I'll try and ID it for you

Thank you. I will attempt to remove one on Monday when I'm back at home. Looking more closely, it seems like both the top and bottom of the window are missing their glazing bead so I'll also put an update photo up of the window at the same time.

Well I've tried removing over the last few days after watching several youtube vidoes and using wall paper scrapers and even a pizza cutter as it was a thinner metal but the beads seem wedged on there - not even loosening to give a little wiggle room, so I called a window guy in.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
