I was blocking out a gable a couple of months back.
I had just hired a new apprentice, we always block from the inside out and we had our trestles on the upstairs floor, (concrete floor, nice n' hard)
I was just about to finsh off the last of the inner leaf, when i called the yong lad, told him to shift the scaffold over to another gable, WHEN I WAS FINISHED!
Mean time my phone rang, I answered it, and moved over to sit on the edge of the scaffold.
The green horns came along, glanced up saw I was nolonger laying blocks, so just knocked out the pins on the trestle, down I went, along with a consaw, 4 planks, mortar board and 7 /8 4" solids.
I got a mighty bounce.... he got the boot!
