Have had 2 quotes for blown render problem, one is for complete re-render of house and the other is for replacing blown render only. Both therafter have quoted for protective finishes to be applied. Not sure if removing and patching the blown tyrolean render would look as good or be as effective in years to come as replacing all render. Please could you advise.

I'm not in the trade, or even done the job, but i had a serious blown rendering problem on that rear aspect of my place, and although i could have patched and painted it, then you will always have the worry that the stuff that has already blown has allowed water behind it, which then could blow, ruining your patch job.
I had the whole of the rear stripped and re-done, and was advised to leave it the off gray/white colour because painting it is just more maintenance and upkeep.
I would do the lot, the extra work involved shouldn't whack the price up that much i wouldn't have thought.
