Hi all. New poster. Hope this is in the right place.

I have an issue in that a radiator in my flat is completely cold. I have bled it (there was very little air in there) but think it might be a pressure issue. Our boiler drops pressure regularly, sometimes down to close to zero. Using the filling loop, I can get it up to 1.5/2 but no higher. Is it normal to need to use the filling loop so regularly? Is there any danger doing this?

Does the central heating run on a loop? If so, it might be that this one is at the end of the loop which would make sense given the layout of the flat.

Is there anything else I can check to see whether it's a radiator or boiler issue? The pipes are cold at the bottom and it is full of water.

I can take pictures of the boiler and/or radiator if necessary.

Thanks in advance.
Dan

Forgot to mention the boiler is a Potterton Performa 24.

Layman responses appreciated!
