Boiler Pressure Repressurising Worcester Greenstar 30i ERP

Hi,

Really hoping someone can help as I am clueless. I have bought a house which is using Worcester Greenstar 30i ERP according to the sticker in the boiler. The heating was working before but the pressure gauge is now right at the bottom and heating not working. Assume it could be due to the pressure. I have looked at videos online of the same model but they do not look like mine.

I have no key as per the videos and even if I did there isn't a place to put the key into to increase the pressure as shown on videos. It doesn't have the keyless button to pull to increase pressure as seen in the videos either so I am really confused.

I have added photos to show the setup, really hoping someone can help.

On the end we can’t see of the silver braided hose there will be a black valve, that’s what you need.

As above, you need to trace the braided hose (I’ve shown on photo - pointing to the valve and which way it goes).

Thanks for your responses. On that silver braided hose I looked further down and I could see a black button/or valve on the pipe, I tried to turn it both ways but it was stiff and didn't seem to move and then water started to leak from that pipe so I left it alone. Is that what I need to turn to fill up pressure?

You may find the black plastic lever isn't engaging on the valve shaft, you may need to turn it with pliers.

So I managed to turn the black leaver and could hear the noise for the pressure. It took a long time but eventually the pressure did go up. However when I turned the black leaver water was coming out from that pipe so assume it may need to be replaced?

Where exactly is water leaking from ? If its from the fitting at the end of the Flexi that can be repaired or seal replaced.
Does water stop leaking when valve is closed by the black lever ?

Yes! There is also a second valve, on the right hand end of that silver flexible pipe, which can be operated by a flat screwdriver. The alignment of the screw, suggests it is partially open - it might explain the slow fill. If you turn the screw so it is at 90 degrees, it will isolate the heatings systems water, from the mains cold water.

If you source a replacement for the leaking item, turn your stop tap off, open your cold taps to release the pressure - you can then fit a replacement valve.

I did turn that second valve but it was tight. I will make it tighter to get it at 90 degree angle. Noted about the replacement, will need to locate the stop tap before I do that.
