Bosch dishwasher (flow sensor E14)

Hi
I've a dishwasher I've had for 4 yrs and only use it about once per month. Came to use it yesterday and it stopped working and had an error code of E14. Googled this to find it was the flow sensor Reed.
I took out the apparent faulty device, but cant see any issue with it.
Any advice please.

is it measuring incoming flow from the water supply pipe?

have you looked at the fine mesh filter in the hose connector?

Yes , that was the first thing I looked at. Water does get into the dishwasher but stops after about 2 mins.
