My Bosch Washing machine has given me a huge list of problems since it was purchased about 5 years ago such that I will not go near Bosch ever again (their service has been terrible). As a result Im picking up more of the maintenance myself to keep costs manageable.

The most recent problem is the iDos drawer has stopped dosing detergent into the machine. Ive tried cleaning and rinsing but with minimal luck. From the looks of things the top of drawer (which contains the detergent pump and detergent sensors) is pretty filthy and should probably be cleaned before investigating replacement parts.

Has anybody got any advice on how to unclip the cover from the top of drawer (i.e. the plastic sheet which protects a few very simple bits of electronics)? There are a few marks that look like clips but even with a fair bit of force I couldnt unclip them so thought I'd ask before applying further pressure....

Any advice VERY much appreciated. Thanks!

Bosh are pretty decent if you stick to the German ones not the Spanish made ones. Same as Siemens go for German machines other are cheaper made or badged. If its not scrap it and get a new or used German one

Hi,
Sorry to necro an old thread, but did you manage to repair it?
I have a Bosch WAT28645NL with a similar problem i manWAT28645NLaged to get the screws out of the pump heads (thanks torx plus security bits...) but i cant access the electronics. It seems a waste to replace the whole drawer when i suspect it's only a pump that is defective.

I didnt in the end, thought I would cause more damage by prying it open and then it is useless. Instead I cut a groove between the two tanks (iDos1 and iDos2 - which is repairable) and then told the washing machine to use the other pump instead. Seemed like a good solution without further information.
