Hi everyone I am nearly at the end of me kitchen extension and fitting a new island sink however I'm hoping to get help with a question on my current kitchen drain. The kitchen drain previously exited the house into a gully trap with a rodding eye cover. The wall has now been removed and concreted over by the builder who has partially covered the gully with membrane and had the previous 40mm pipe extend out of the floor from the gulley. - my question is - do I have to dig out the concrete and remove the gulley and connect 110mm pipes to the outflow part and bring these across to the island near the mains water and then connect an Alpine 110mm bung with a 40mm offset so it’s flush with the screed and then connect my 40mm pipe to the new island sink with an admittance valve.p really concerned and welcome any comments as the plumber is saying this job should be preformed by the builder

Are you saying that you extended the house without moving the gully to the outside of the new wall?

Ok. Yes it's been done before and there's a couple of postings on here about the same thing.

Yes, remove the concrete, and remove the gulley.

Attached 110mm coupling and 110mm pipe as needed to get to the under sink area, with the relevant fall.

Bring the 110mm pipe up and form a stub stack which will be the point you plumb in the waste pipe from your sink trap. Your sink and any appliance traps provide the seal between the kitchen and the foul drain air.

You can plumb the waste pipe into the side of the stub stack and put an AAV on the top if you want. You need to make sure the AAV is accessible and the cupboard is vented

Then make good the concrete floor and carry on with the kitchen. You may find if you do the breaking out etc your plumber may agree to do all the plumbing part. If the builder was specifically asked to create the stub stack for your island unit then he should do it all

Thank you Yorks builder this conversation has been excellent and appreciate your prompt support
