We have a builder who has added a damp proof course and then added bricks on top. Should the bricks above be fixed in place or be able to move? At present the whole wall moves at the slightest touch above the damp proof course. It is not complete, but we don't feel this is right. We are talking to them about the poor brick work, but not sure if this is also an issue. Thanks

I've seen this work before, a bloke called Stevland Judkins, may also use the name Stevland Morris.
That is not brickwork. It's some random pile of bricks that happens to have mortar trapped between.

And remove the bricks while the mortar is still soft.
I'd pull it over, in case of a kid walking by and sneezing on it.
It needs to stay where it is for now.
It would be silly to destroy the evidence.
