hi all,
i will be laying a floating deck for the first time this weekend, and all the wood has been ordered. i will be making the frame out of 2x4, and the deck is going onto an area of grass that has been levelled to my best ability. The decking area is approx 3mx2.8m.
i will not be concreting posts into the ground, but I want to put the frame on bricks, and then level them if needs be with a bit of slab layer (I have almost a full bag)
Now my question is can I use a brick like this - https://www.wickes.co.uk/Class-B-Red-Engineering-Brick-65mm/p/174990 to raise the base? Also is using slab layer a good idea to level them? i also have a roll of damp proof course that I was going to put between the brick and timber frame..
Is this the best way of doing it?
Thanks in advance
Nick
